Terms & Conditions for Floor Polishing Services


1. Accessibility and Readiness of Premises
1.1. If our floor polishing team arrives at the scheduled location and finds the premises inaccessible or unable to commence work due to incomplete renovations or the presence of renovation debris that were not communicated beforehand, the incurred man-hours will be charged at $35 per man hour based on the time of arrival.

2. Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
Rescheduling
2.1. A rescheduling fee of $30 will apply if we are notified less than 3 working days* in advance.
2.2. A rescheduling fee of $50 will apply if we are notified less than 2 working days* in advance.
2.3. The rescheduled date must fall within 3 months of the original booking date.

Cancellation
2.4. For cancellations made less than 7 working days* before the scheduled service date, an admin fee of $100 or 20% of the total quoted amount (whichever is higher) will apply.
2.5. For cancellations made less than 3 working days* before the scheduled service date, an admin fee of $150 or 50% of the total quoted amount (whichever is higher) will apply.
2.6. If a cancellation is requested after a service has already been rescheduled, the full deposit amount will be forfeited.

*Working days refer to Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, excluding Public Holidays.

3. Scope of Work and Exclusions
3.1. The quoted price includes all necessary tools, machinery, and supplies required for floor polishing.
3.2. The following tasks are excluded from the service scope unless otherwise stated in the quotation:
    ● Dismantling or disposing of furniture.
    ● Polishing of skirting boards or other areas unrelated to flooring.
    ● Leveling of flooring.
    ● Removal of paint stains or protection sheets.
    ● Grouting or chemical washing.
3.3. Moving furniture is not included and must be arranged separately by the customer.

4. Limitation of Liability
4.1. Our maximum liability is up to $100 per service or the proven value of damage caused solely by our team during the floor polishing session, whichever is lesser.
4.2. Customers must report any damages with photos within 24 hours from the end of the service. Resolution will consider market value, depreciation, and the condition of the item.

5. Payment Terms
5.1. A deposit is required to confirm the booking:
    ● 50% for jobs valued at $5,000 or below.
    ● 40% for jobs valued between $5,001 and $10,000.
    ● 35% for jobs valued above $10,000.
5.2. Floor Shine Pte Ltd reserves the right to cancel the job without notice or compensation if the required deposit is not received at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled job date.
5.3. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day of the service. Late payments will incur a fee of 5% of the total amount, with an additional 1% interest charged daily for any outstanding balance beyond 3 days after the job completion date.
5.4. Payment can be made to:

5.5. By making a deposit or any payment, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

6. Confirmation of Booking
6.1. Receiving a pre-confirmation summary does not guarantee the booking. A job is only confirmed once the deposit is received.

7. Customer Responsibilities
7.1. Customers are advised to inform their property’s MCST (if applicable) about the service.
7.2. Valuables should be safely secured during the service. Floor Shine is not liable for any lost or misplaced items.
7.3. Customers should attend the service handover to inspect the work. Any dissatisfaction must be communicated to our team on-site for resolution. If the handover is unattended, full payment will still be required, and any disputes must follow the delayed payment clause.

8. Extension of Hours
8.1. Additional work hours can be arranged at:
    ● $35/hour per team member (Weekdays).
    ● $40/hour per team member (Weekends, Public Holidays, or after 6 PM).

9. Force Majeure Clause
9.1 Floor Shine Pte Ltd shall not be held liable for any delays, cancellations, or failure to complete the service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or unforeseen technical issues.

10. Service Guarantee and Customer Responsibilities
10.1 Floor Shine Pte Ltd guarantees the quality of the floor polishing services based on standard industry practices. However, the service quality may be impacted if:
    ● The customer fails to clear the area or notify us of significant obstructions.
    ● The flooring condition is beyond typical wear and tear (e.g., deep scratches, structural damages, or existing stains that require specialized treatment not included in the scope of work).
Floor Shine Pte Ltd shall not be liable for any dissatisfaction resulting from these circumstances.

11. Scope Variation Clause
11.1 If additional tasks or requirements arise during the service that were not agreed upon in the initial quotation, Floor Shine Pte Ltd reserves the right to charge additional fees. These fees will be communicated to the customer before proceeding with the additional work.

12. Warranty Disclaimer
12.1 Floor Shine Pte Ltd does not provide any warranty against future wear, tear, or damage to the flooring after the service is completed. The customer is advised to follow post-polishing care instructions provided by the team to maintain the flooring’s condition.

13. Photography and Marketing Use
13.1 Floor Shine Pte Ltd reserves the right to take photographs of completed work for quality assurance and marketing purposes. No personal or identifiable information will be disclosed in the use of such materials. Customers may opt out by notifying us in writing before the service date.

14. Confidentiality of Customer Information
14.1 All customer information shared with Floor Shine Pte Ltd will be kept confidential and used solely for service delivery purposes. We do not share customer data with third parties unless required by law or with the customer’s consent.
